Ever wondered why neutral colours look extra magical in the woods?

Elizabeth & Ruben’s engagement session at Putnam Memorial State Park in Bethel, Connecticut proved it all over again. Soft beiges, warm browns, clean whites — they just melt into a forest backdrop without competing with the scenery. The whole session felt calm, romantic, and timeless.

Tip for forest-y locations:
If you’re shooting in a woodsy spot, go for neutrals or soft earth tones. They keep the focus on you and photograph beautifully under the trees’ natural shade.
