BOUDOIR

Bridal boudoir photography in Connecticut is one of the most personal investments you can make before your wedding day.

Whether you’re creating a gift for your partner, celebrating your body, or simply doing something entirely for yourself, you’ll walk away with images that remind you exactly how you looked and felt right now. All boudoir sessions are photographed by Susie.

Why Book a Bridal Boudoir Session?

Brides across Connecticut book bridal boudoir photography sessions for different reasons. Some want a stunning album to give their partner on the morning of the wedding. Some want the experience for themselves: a few hours that are entirely theirs before a day that belongs to everyone. Most find it ends up being both.

What’s consistent is this: nearly every bride who does a session says it was one of the best decisions she made leading up to the wedding.

Frequently Asked Questions

That's the most common thing I hear, and the answer is yes. Most women who book a boudoir session have never done one before. A big part of my job is making you feel at ease before a single photo is taken. We'll talk through everything in advance so you know exactly what to expect when you walk in.

You don't need to be. That's what the session is for. Boudoir photography isn't about having a certain body type. It's about finding the angles, light, and moments that show you at your best. Women of every shape, size, and age have sat in front of my camera and left feeling genuinely surprised by what they saw.
Start with one or two outfits you feel good in: lingerie, a silk robe, an oversized sweater, your partner's dress shirt. There's no wrong answer. Bring something that feels like you. We'll talk through this before your session so you show up prepared and confident. Accessories, meaningful jewelry, and any props you have in mind are always welcome.
Get a good night's sleep and eat beforehand. You'll feel better and it shows on camera. Avoid anything that leaves marks on your skin, like tight waistbands or socks, for at least an hour before your session. If you're getting hair and makeup done, plan for that time in advance. Arrive relaxed. The session moves at your pace.
Your images are private. They are delivered through a secure, password-protected gallery and are never shared, posted, or used in a way that you are identifiable without your explicit written permission.
Most sessions run between one and two hours. That's enough time to work through a couple of looks, settle into the experience, and capture a real range of images without feeling rushed.
Plan for two to four weeks. If you need your images by a specific date for a wedding morning gift reveal, mention that at booking and we'll make sure the timeline works.
Sessions outside Connecticut may be subject to travel fees. Reach out and we'll work through the details together.
