The Heritage Hotel in Southbury, CT is an amazing location for a wedding ceremony. Nestled in the beautiful Litchfield Hills, I describe it as classic New England charm. Because they offer unique spots for wedding ceremonies such as a stone garden, vineyard, and a cool bridge, The Heritage Hotel is the perfect backdrop for gorgeous photographs! Carrie and Andrew had a fantastic wedding day in late August at the Heritage Hotel. Their ceremony was held in the vineyard so we got a lot of unique shots.
This was a really fun wedding to photograph. Firstly, Carrie had one of her male friends in her wedding party that wore a tutu during the getting ready pictures! Secondly, they had an adult male “flower girl” that dressed in an eccentric flowered suit. He walked down the aisle before and after the ceremony, unzipped his fanny pack, threw the flowers in the air, then walked like he was on the “catwalk”! Lastly, of all their guests, at least 40 of them were volunteer firemen or women and all brought their helmets. We got a really great shot of them all in their helmets!
