Ali and Matthew‘s Wedding at Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven, CT was full of moments that perfectly reflected who they are. Their pup made another appearance—last seen at their engagement session—which made the day feel even more personal. The ceremony was rich with tradition, from the crowning to walking around the tetrapod, each part adding so much meaning.
One of the sweetest moments came outside the church, where Ali’s students surprised her with hugs and a handmade guest book titled “Marriage Advice for Miss Ali and Matt by 3rd Grade.” At the reception, things took a hilarious turn when the bridal party made their entrance to Pink Pony Club—complete with blow-up ponies. Later, Ali and Matt rocked out to One Last Breath by Creed, and the garter toss had everyone cracking up after needing a redo. The “winner” holding the garter in his mouth was the cherry on top.
The best man’s speech wrapped it all up with the perfect mix of humor and heartfelt stories.
Tip: encourage your speakers to share real memories. Personal stories always land better than generic advice.
Congrats, Ali & Matt—here’s to a lifetime of happiness!
